Who We Are

Wooster Summer Baseball Inc. provides the opportunity for junior high aged players who attend or live within the Wooster City School District to play on a community-based team in the Wayne-Holmes Summer Baseball League. Home games are played in Wooster at PNC Fields, at the intersection of State Route 585 and Long Road.  The season runs late April through early July. There are typically 9 home games and 9 away games. Other teams in the Wayne-Holmes League have included Apple Creek, Chippewa, Loudonville, Norwayne, Orrville, Rittman, Smithville, Triway, Tuslaw, Smithville, and West Holmes.

The Wayne-Holmes Baseball League, a recreational baseball league made of up 7th and 8th grade teams from Wayne County, Holmes County, and the surrounding areas, provides three levels of play: Gold, Silver, and Bronze. Tryouts are typically held in March at the College of Wooster Scot Center in conjunction with the Wooster High School baseball program and Wooster Youth Baseball. Results will be used to determine team placement for all players who want to play ball!

We also host a High School Summer Baseball League and a Fall Baseball League for players entering grades 7-9.
