Wooster Summer Baseball Inc. provides the opportunity for junior high aged players who attend or live within Wooster City School District to play on a community-based team in the Wayne-Holmes Baseball League. Sixth graders may play also, if they have aged out of Wooster Youth Baseball or wish to play in both programs. Home games are played in Wooster at PNC Fields, at the intersection of State Route 585 and Long Road. The fee is $125 with a multi-player discount of $20 if you have more than one player in the same household. A $5 early bird discount is available for those who register in January. The season runs from late April/early May through the end of June. There are typically nine home games and nine away games along with an end of season championship tournament.

The Wayne-Holmes League is a recreational baseball league made up of 7th and 8th grade teams from Wayne County, Holmes County, and surrounding area. It typically provides three levels of play: Gold, Silver, and Bronze.

Gold Division -- Top players, typically 8th graders but can include younger players

Silver Division - Can only be 7th graders

Bronze Division - Mix of grade levels

Open gyms are for Wooster baseball players interested in being part of a Wooster team in the Wayne-Holmes League this spring. Sixth graders who've aged out of play at Miller Field with Wooster Youth Baseball are welcome too! There is no cost for the open gyms. They are an excellent opportunity to brush up on your baseball skills, meet other players and coaches, ask questions about the Wayne-Holmes League, and prepare for the upcoming spring season. Open Gym dates for spring 2025 at Wooster High School in the Gault Recreation Center are scheduled on three Fridays in February. We hope to see you there!

We need all players registered prior to evaluations, which are March 4th at Wooster High School in the Gault Recreation Center 7-8pm. Plan to arrive at 6:45 for group assignment. These are held in conjunction with Wooster Youth Baseball and the Wooster High School baseball program. Evaluation stations include Fielding, Fly Balls, Pitching and Hitting. After evaluations, our coaches and organization leadership will get together to finalize our teams.

Summer 2025 Season / Wooster Summer Baseball, Inc. 

The WSBI High School Summer league is for those players entering 9th thru 12th grade for the 25/26 school year and includes seniors graduating in 2025! Advanced 8th graders also. We accept both individual registrations as well as teams from all surrounding communities. Our league is for baseball players in general who want to play more baseball games!

Come as an individual player, a full team, or a partial team. Individual registrants will be assigned teams, partial teams can add individual players and/or be combined with other partial teams. The season begins mid-June and runs thru the end of July. Games are played on Wooster Summer Baseball's PNC Fields located at the intersection of State Route 585 and Long Road in Wooster and possibly other area baseball fields. Games will be scheduled for weeknights and Saturdays; Sundays are an option for teams who are interested. The league provides a team shirt with color determined by the sponsor. If you are joining the league as a full team, you are welcome to bring your own uniforms.
